Regular tie down straps spend more time knotted in your truck bed than holding cargo. These retractable tie down straps spool in and out on a stainless-steel spring, so there's no loose webbing to thread, no tail to tie off, nothing to untangle before the next haul.

A regular ratchet strap comes in two pieces, the ratchet and the loose strap, and you have to feed the webbing through the buckle every single time. These come as one retractable unit.
- Take the S-hook from one anchor point to the other, and the webbing pays out on its own.
- Built-in safety clip on every hook keeps it locked to the anchor under load and vibration.

Anchor the fixed hook
Clip the fixed end to a solid tie-down point on your vehicle or trailer.
Pull to length
Draw the retractable end out as far as you need and hook it over your cargo.
Crank tight
Work the ratchet handle until the webbing is taut and the load won't shift.

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between working load limit and break strength?
Working load limit (400 lbs) is the maximum weight the strap is rated to hold in normal use. Break strength (1,200 lbs) is the point of failure in lab testing. Always size your load to the working load limit, never the break strength.
Are these tie down straps DOT compliant?
For commercial hauling, DOT requires aggregate working load limit to be at least 50% of cargo weight. Four straps at 400 lbs each give you 1,600 lbs of aggregate WLL, which covers cargo up to 3,200 lbs. For heavier commercial loads, step up to 2" straps.
Will the hooks scratch my paint?
The S-hooks are vinyl coated to protect finished surfaces. For motorcycles and anything with delicate bodywork, we still recommend running soft loops between the hook and the frame.
Can I use these on a motorcycle?
Yes. Use four straps at the front and rear anchor points, and add soft loops around the handlebars or frame so the metal hooks never touch the bike.
Do they work in rain and snow?
Yes. The polyester webbing doesn't absorb water or stretch when wet, the spring is stainless steel, and the ratchet is zinc-coated against corrosion. Let them dry before retracting for long-term storage.
How long do the straps last?
With normal use, several years. Retire any strap with cuts, fraying, chemical burns, or a ratchet that won't lock. Webbing damage is not repairable.
Do these fit Ford BoxLink or truck bed cleats?
The S-hooks fit standard truck bed cleats, D-rings, stake pockets, trailer rails and roof rack crossbars. For Ford BoxLink you'll need BoxLink cleats or D-rings installed in the bed.
